Appointment Duration
Medical Insurance: Appointment lengths are predetermined by insurance companies, and cannot be extended as a general rule. Because we specialize in the treatment of complex illness, we frequently cannot cover everything in a specific visit. It is best in that case to schedule a separate visit to address the remaining issues.
Initial insurance appointments are 50 minutes. Follow-up visits are 40 minutes or less depending on the need.
Private Pay: Initial appointments are up to 90 minutes for adults with chronic issues and may sometimes be shorter for children. Followup visits are generally 45 minutes. If we extend the appointment at the time of the visit, you will be charged in 15-minute increments.

Telemedicine Appointments
We are pleased to offer telemedicine for follow-up visits to patients located in Vermont and Oregon on our HIPAA-compliant video system.
Conditions of telemedicine appointments: Privacy and focus is essential to creating a "healing container" for all medical appointments. Therefore, please be on time, and ensure that you are in a private place, have high-speed internet, and will not be interrupted during your appointment. If you come to your appointment without adequate internet for video (such as just using your phone reception), while driving, in a cafe, or while you are supervising children, we will reschedule and you will be responsible for a cancellation charge.
